In the summer house ventilation and cooling, the most common problem is the difficulty of cooling, the chickens are exposed to heat stress, and some chicken houses, especially broiler houses and layer brooders, have cold stress problems. These problems are mainly caused by too low or too high wind speed, incorrect wind direction, and excessive humidity. The summary analysis includes both configuration reasons and improper operation reasons. In the past few days, we have analyzed several common problems.
The temperature is not high, but there is heat stress

2.The crux of the problem
The chicken back wind speed is too low, and the chicken feels the temperature is high. When the temperature in the house is 28℃, assuming the relative humidity in the house is 70% and the wind speed is 2m/s, the somatosensory temperature of the chicken is 22~23℃; when the wind speed is 1.5m/s, the somatosensory temperature of the chicken is 24~ 25℃; wind speed is 1m/s, somatosensory temperature of chicken is 25.5~26℃.
Reason 1: Some farms only consider the general high temperature in summer and ignore the high temperature and high humidity climate, in order to save investment. Less fan configuration. In high-temperature and high-humidity weather, the cooling efficiency of the wet curtain is low, and the somatosensory temperature of the chicken can only be reduced by increasing ventilation.
Reason 2: The quality of the fan is poor, the performance is unstable, and the exhaust efficiency is low under a high negative pressure state. For example, for some fans, the 0pa static pressure exhaust capacity marked on the nameplate is 43000m³/h. However, due to the shape and material of the fan blade, the strength is not enough. The exhaust capacity is only 30,000m³/h in the -20pa negative pressure operating state. The data is lower than the general 37000m³/h.
Reason 3: The fan lacks maintenance, the bearing wears, the triangle belt is loose, or it is blocked by chicken feathers. If it is not replaced and cleaned in time, the exhaust efficiency of the fan decreases. Or the fan is aging and will not be replaced in time.
Reason 4: The calculation is incorrect and the fan configuration is too small. I have seen a large modern broiler farm, stacked cages, chicken house size 100m*19m*4.2m~6m, 24 vertical tunnel fans, walkway wind speed 3.1m/s, the wind speed in the 50cm depth of the cage is only 0.75 m/s, the feeding effect in summer is not very good. If the chicken farm is built in a dry climate region in the northwest, the wet curtain can reduce the temperature in the house to 23~24°C.
This configuration has no problem in summer. However, in fact, the chicken farm is built in the coastal area. The average humidity in summer is more than 80%, and the efficiency of cooling and cooling of the wet curtain is low, mainly relying on fan ventilation to cool down. Obviously, there are few fan configurations.
Diligent maintenance, even if replacing bearings and V-belts, cleaning chicken feathers; replacing fans with long service life and low exhaust efficiency; if the configuration is too few, increase the fan configuration, the configuration calculation should be required in extreme high temperature and high humidity weather Based on the wind speed.
